The National Agricultural Council
What is the CNA?
The National Agricultural Council (CNA), is a national organism and membership is voluntary. It was founded in April 1984 and since then is part of the Business Coordination Council.
Its mission is to represent the common interests of agricultural, agroindustrial and agricultural services companies and producers to bring about equality conditions for the sustainable development and competitiveness, in a market economy, with social responsibility.
Its membership spans the diverse production branches of the sector and all the states of Mexico. Members of the CNA account for 70% of the agricultural GDP, 85% of the livestock GDP, 75% of the agroindustrial GDP and 75% of the agri-food exports GDP.
The CNA, because of its proactive nature and the strong technical proposals that benefit the sector, has become the negotiator before the Executive and Legislative Branches.
